Alex Carter (b. 1996) is a photographer & director from Nashville, TN currently living in Omaha, Nebraska.
A quick bit about it:
Authentic, simplistic, deliberate, curious. Through my observation (don't trust me), these ideas act as the backbone to my work.
An obsession with creating images developed out of longstanding fascinations with truth, time, free association, and unspoken communication.
When done properly, images, both moving and still, offer us a means to freeze, replicate, reframe, and re-familiarize ourselves with the world. They provide us a universal method of authentic and pure communication and allow us to explore abstract ideas and constructs in ways that cannot be done effectively through just words.
